Texture/Material - Dense Textured handwoven silk fabric. This fabric is made from waste yarn. This fabric is a compilation of various types of waste of silk yarn, these waste yarns are then reeled together and then this fabric is woven. The construction of this fabric contains mostly waste of Ghicha and matka silk. This fabric is completely handwoven on a frame loom. It is due to the low weaving speed and the equipment used for weaving that determine the thickness and quality of the yarn. It is these textures that helps in creating distinct handloom fabrics. This is a pure handwoven, pure silk natural product. The gsm of this fabric would be around 250 to 300. 

Ghicha is a silk yarn that is extracted directly from cocoons that remain after the reeling of Tussar silk directly from the cocoon. Ghicha silk fabric although is rough, but has surprisingly smooth touch. Ghicha has properties identical to that of cotton and yet it possesses the lustrous silk sheen.

Matka comes from thick yarn spun from the silk worm and results in some irregularities in the fabric. Resembling tweed in texture, the irregularities are expected and considered unique. Matka sews very easily and is a thicker type of fabric, used for suits, jackets and furnishings. By adjusting the amount of yarn, Matka can be used for varying thicknesses and textures.
